Norse Brewing Launches Tettenhall Cider

Proving that Tettenhall Cider rules, Norse Brewing taps into a new market

Wake Forest, North Carolina – (June 27, 2022) Norse Brewing Company, where hospitality is served by the pint, today announced the addition of Tettenhall Ciders, a new brewing focus of Brew Master Brad Wynn. Tettenhall Ciders are a fruit-forward line of tart, crisp hard ciders that are a perfect taste of cool on warm summer nights. Tettenhall Blackberry and Raspberry Ciders will be regularly on tap with specialty ciders brewed based on local fruits in season or for special events and holidays.

“Tettenhall Ciders open up a different market for Norse Brewing and expands our palate to guests who might like to try something a bit different from our craft beers,” said Wynn. “Hard ciders also allow our kitchen to play with different flavors for food pairings and guests will be excited to see how the new summer menu leverages these flavors.”

This expansion into hard ciders is part of Norse Brewing’s long-term expansion strategy, creating new opportunities for partnerships, events, and the ability to bring new people into the restaurant. Since opening in 2020, Norse Brewing has crafted over 50 unique beers ranging from popular favorites like Gnomenator Bock-Doppelbock, Phat Thor Stout, Astrid’s Amber Ale, That Guy’s Beer Brown Ale, and Four Friends IPA to a range of sours including pineapple infused Taylor’s Crown currently on tap.

“The expansion into hard ciders is just another step in our development as we look to leverage the capacity and creativity we have within our Norse crew,” said Chris Jorgenson, Norse Brewing founder. “We are at the start of an epic journey at Norse Brewing Company and look forward to having new friends join us as we grow.”

Fletcher moved to Raleigh seven years ago and has worked in some of the area’s top kitchens including Standard Foods under Eric Montagne, serving as Chef de Cuisine at Buku in Wake Forest, and Executive Chef at Wye Hill Kitchen and Triangle Beer Co. Thompson, who joined in the newly created position of Pastry Chef, to create fresh new desserts, breads, and other decadent and delectable delicacies to Norse Brewing tables for lunch, dinner, and brunch.

“I’ve always been guided by what is locally available from farmers here in the Triangle, working closely with individual, heritage farmers and highlighting what is being grown here organically, using everything provided to pay respect to the effort required to create these foods and flavors,” said Fletcher. “I’m excited to be a part of Chris and Brad’s vision for what Norse will become and look forward to adding additional layers and complexities to the menu with smoke, fire, preservation, traditional meats and seafoods, and other elements of Scandinavian culture and cuisine.”

This expansion is part of Norse Brewing’s long-term expansion strategy, “In order to keep that aspect of our brand growing we need to keep introducing new menu items that expands our Scandinavian/Southern food theme and to do that we decided to put a more detailed focus on food by hiring Kyle,” explained Chris Jorgensen, Norse’s Founder. “This is about more than adding great new food to the menu though, it’s setting the stage as we look to expand with new Longhouse locations, offering catering and leverage economies of scale as we grow.”
